The aftermath of the altercation between Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni continues to cast a shadow over Real Madrid.
The club previously announced fines of 500,000 euros each for Valverde and Tchouameni following the unfortunate incident.
According to Spanish journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon, who works for Radio Marca, “Influential players in the Real Madrid dressing room are urging the club’s management to let Valverde leave during the upcoming summer transfer window.”
Alvarez de Mon added on his X account, “The situation is extremely sensitive for the club, considering Valverde’s long career and his contributions to Real Madrid over the years.”
Valverde joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2016 from Uruguayan side Penarol. The 27-year-old’s contract with the club runs until the summer of 2029. This season, the Uruguayan has featured in 48 matches across all competitions for Los Blancos, scoring nine goals and providing 13 assists.
