Arsenal’s young talent, Max Dowman, has been officially named the winner of the Premier League’s Best Homegrown Newcomer Award for the 2025-26 season.
The 16-year-old sensation earned the Premier League Homegrown Debut Season Player of the Year award after an historic breakout campaign with the Gunners. Dowman made his league debut at just 15 years and 235 days old against Leeds United, winning a penalty in a 5-0 victory. He then made further history by scoring against Everton in March 2026, becoming the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history.
The award recognizes exceptional impact during a breakthrough season, with key milestones achieved along the way. It was selected by the Premier League’s Football Development Committee and presented at the Academy Awards evening held at Wembley Stadium on May 12.
