Fred Vasseur, the team principal of Ferrari, has weighed in on the criticism surrounding the new technical regulations in Formula 1, specifically highlighting Mercedes drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell.
“The situation is always the same. There are drivers who speak louder than others. I remember back in 2022, a couple of guys were very vocal in criticizing the regulations, while others were much calmer. This happens with every new set of rules. It’s part of a driver’s DNA. They want to compete, they want to be at the front. And of course, Russell or Antonelli are currently less outspoken on this issue compared to some other drivers who are behind,” Vasseur told RacingNews365.
After four rounds of the season, Andrea Kimi Antonelli leads the drivers’ standings with 100 points and three victories. His Mercedes teammate George Russell sits in second place with 80 points, one win, and one podium finish.
