In comments reported by Bild, Rummenigge noted that Flick has an exceptional ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with players, a quality that sets him apart from many other coaches in football.
Recalling his experience with Bayern Munich during their 2020 Champions League-winning campaign, Rummenigge said the atmosphere in the dressing room under Flick was unique and resembled “a family spirit.” He added that players were willing to make sacrifices for their coach, highlighting the strength of the bond Flick creates within the team. Rummenigge believes this same quality is still evident in Flick’s approach at Barcelona today.
