The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly reached a four-year contract extension with veteran kicker Chris Boswell, according to ESPN.

The deal is valued at $28 million over four seasons, matching the highest average annual salary for an NFL kicker at $7 million. This ties the extension signed by Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey in April. Boswell was entering the final year of his previous contract, but the new agreement keeps him with the Steelers through the 2030 season.

Boswell, 35, has spent his entire 11-year NFL career in Pittsburgh. He has converted 299 of 341 field goal attempts, a success rate of 87.7% — the sixth-highest in league history. He has also made 353 of 369 extra-point tries (95.7%). His consistent performance earned him Pro Bowl selections in 2017 and 2024, along with a first-team All-Pro honor in 2024.

In the 2025 season, Boswell connected on 27 of 32 field goals and 42 of 43 extra points. His most memorable kick was a career-long and franchise-record 60-yard field goal to give the Steelers a 34-32 victory over the New York Jets on September 7, 2025.
