Dreamland Gran Canaria has officially introduced Brandon Jefferson as their new signing. The American point guard spoke to the media after making his debut for the club last Sunday against Barcelona at the Palau Blaugrana.
Brandon Jefferson (34) described his first game against the Catalan team. “Barcelona is a EuroLeague team. It was a good way to break the ice, to see what the team needs and what I can contribute, and where we need to work. I think we played good basketball in the first minutes, but then the game slipped away. It was a good opportunity to see how I can help us win games.”
When asked about the ACB, the point guard was clear. “Everyone knows the Spanish league is the best league in Europe. I’ve played against Spanish teams throughout my career and I know the style is different. I come from playing in Greece, where basketball is physical, but I’ve also played against two of the best teams in Europe. I’ve faced great teams my whole career.”
He added, “I’m really looking forward to enjoying my first experience in Spain. I think this time will be good for us to train and improve. I believe we will be capable of winning the necessary games. I want to show my level here and help in this final stretch.”

Regarding his excitement to play for the Canarian team, Brandon expressed his admiration for the club: “In recent years, Gran Canaria has always been one of the big teams in Spain and Europe, but they’ve had a bad season, something that can happen to anyone.”
He concluded, “These days here have allowed me to see that we have a very talented group of players. We need to share the ball, improve as a team, and play together on offense and defense. But it’s a talented team, we have a great coaching staff, and training will help us. We have to make the right decisions at every moment of the game and stay united in tough times.”
